City of Medford Krystle Campbell Memorial Peace Garden
Honoring Krystle Campbell, Officer Sean Collier, Lu Lingzi, Martin Richard and All Victims of the Boston Marathon Bombings.
Features
- A pathway leading to the garden outlined with bronze plaques identifying many of the mile markers along the Marathon route from Hopkinton, to Heartbreak Hill, to Cleveland Circle and other points that lead to the finish line, which is in the interior of the Peace Garden.
- The Peace Garden consist of a central seating area focused on four fountains, representing the four victims, surrounding a taller, fifth fountain which represents the world and honors all who were injured in the Bombings.
- Plaques representing the lives of Krystle Campbell, Officer Sean Collier, Martin Richard and Lu Lingzi are laid out as the four points on a compass around the fountain.
- The park includes seating, plantings, lighting, granite post fencing, manicured lawns, numerous planting beds, illuminated flag pole, walkways made up of colored concrete and concrete pavers.
